Auditions

Prep Instructions & Calendar

Auditions are held at KVPAC and are required for acceptance into Student COMPANY or for a specific “Audition Only” play. Audition dates are announced prior to the start of each semester for all the “audition only” plays produced during the upcoming semester.

What to Expect:

Upon arrival at the audition, actors sign in, fill out an audition form and provide a Resume (scroll to bottom of web page to download sample resume)  with a snapshot or head shot photo attached or included on your Resume (photos can be copied and returned if necessary).  Actors privately present the following to a panel of KVPAC directors:
  1. A prepared 1-2 minute monologue. For younger actors, a memorized poem may be substituted for the monologue, however characterization and dramatic delivery is strongly encouraged.
  2. 16-32 bars song selection. The song may be presented a’cappella or accompanied by a CD of pre-recorded instrumental music. Singing over a vocal track is not accepted. After the final round of auditions, the panel of directors will convene to review all candidates and make selections.
Every actor will receive notice from KVPAC regarding their audition within one week of the FINAL day of auditions for each semester.

2017-2018 Student COMPANY AUDITIONS:

July 18th & 19th, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm.

Auditions held in the Grand Vision Children's Theatre, Bldg2

Please sign up for auditions.  A 5-minute time slot will be assigned once the evening's roster is complete.

There is no fee to audition.

NOTE: Once Student COMPANY Members are accepted for the Fall season, they do NOT need to re-audition in the Spring. Spring auditions, held in December, are to fill open/ vacant spots for the Spring Student COMPANY productions.
