The rUndead Zombie Run Invades KVPAC This Month
Katy, Texas (October 20, 2016) – On Saturday, October 29, 2016 KVPAC kicks off its 1st Annual Wicked Weekend with a 5K KVPAC rUndead Zombie Run. The event is sponsored by Covering Katy, Kroger, Cinco Ranch Rotary Club and Ronda Adkins Agency ~ Farmers Insurance.
Located at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center Complex at 2501 S Mason Rd, Ste. # 290, KVPAC is a community center right in Katy’s own beautiful backyard. The run promises to be the most affordable family fun run in the country at only $45 per person or $125 for a Team of 4. All proceeds will be donated to KVPAC programming Fostering a Life-long Love of the Arts!
Runners of all ages will endure a 5K run through a zombie-infested course, testing one’s speed, endurance, and strength while trying to avoid ravenous zombies! Jr Runners (under age 10) are welcome, but must be accompanied by a registered adult.
“We are an arts center, so the Halloween Season is always fun around here,” says Gregory Magyar, KVPAC Executive Artistic Director. "We have had the haunted house for a few years now, so adding more events to the weekend has been great fun for all of us!”
Registration is open until the morning of the race October 29. Runners must check-in on-site between 8:00am and 9:30am. The run starts promptly at 10:00am and the awards ceremony is at 11:00am. For further information or to sign up today on-line, visit www.kvpac.org.
Additional Wicked Weekend activities include a costume parade and contest, an in-door arts and crafts fair, an out-door Trunk or Treat market (all beginning at 10:00am), and a two-night Field of Screams Haunted Maze attraction, beginning the night before on October 28 at 8:00pm and repeating again on October 29 until 11:30pm. Come twice if you dare!! There will also be food, games, characters, entertainment and more for the whole family to enjoy.
